Engine 521 -
Purchased in 2015, this Freightliner by Pierce is our newest Engine. 521 is our first out fire suppression unit and carries 1000 gallons of water. 521 carries all of our extrication equipment including the jaws of life, our self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and rope rescue gear utilized with the stokes basket for low angle rescues. |

Engine 522 -
Engine 522 is our second out Engine. This Welch also doubles as a tanker, which is used to move large amounts of water to fires that are not close to a fire hydrant if not being used as a pumper. 522 has a water carrying capacity of 1200 gallons and also has our technical rescue equipment such as rope rescue gear and grain bin rescue equipment. |

Boat 523 and Boat 524-
HVFD covers several miles of the Des Moines River from North Central Warren County to the Warren County / Marion County line. Boat 523 (left) is a Fisher fitted with a 75hp motor, and Boat 524 (right) is a Saturn inflatable fitted with a 30hp motor.

Medic 234 -
Medic 234 is 2000 Chevy 4500 type III ambulance that is approved to operate at the Paramedic provisional level. 234 responds to many different types of emergencies and carries equipment our medics use to perform live saving procedures. Our medics train regularly and must obtain continuing education credit hours to remain certified at state and national levels. |
